The Effective Classroom#8

Through the four years that I have spent in Qatar University, I have learned how to teach using a couple of strategies. However, the teaching process needs both strategies and technique, there are some skills that the teacher gains through experiences. To achieve effectiveness they need many skills besides the teaching strategies. These strategies and skills could make an educational process successful. I can summarize these skills into two parts, which are that the class is well prepared and the teacher's instructions.
Firstly, well-prepared means lesson planning and classroom design before the teaching process start. The teacher has to decide which strategies fit the lesson and how many activities should the lesson contain. Then, order the classroom to suit the strategies in a way which will not impede the educational process. For example, the group work needs a different design than the individual work. Then, the material should be available among the students to use them while they work. Additionally, the teachers should prepare the material they need while in the teaching process to avoid disruption.
The second essential part is the teacher's clear instructions at the beginning of the academic year and each lesson. In the first week of the academic year, the teacher recognizes the students' personality and announce them the general rules in her\his classroom and the consequences of violating these rules. After that, the teacher reminds them of the rules in each class.  Besides that, the instructions have to be before giving the students the activity, because they will listen carefully and will not be distracted.
Overall, the educational process needs this classroom management to achieve effective learning. The lessons should be well-prepared and the instructions should be clear before giving them the lesson's activities. If a teacher uses these skills, they will achieve the effective learning process and lifelong learning.
